About AgentVisa
An identity layer should tell you who is behind it. Here is who is behind this one.
Why this exists
Site owners face a lose-lose choice with AI agent traffic: block every bot and turn away real customers shopping through agents, or allow everything and eat the abuse. Standards like Web Bot Auth can prove which company operates an agent — but not whether a real, accountable human sent it.
AgentVisa is that missing human layer: a person verifies once, their agent carries a token, and any site can confirm a verified human is behind the visit with one API call — without ever receiving the person's data. The site-owner widget and all client libraries are free and MIT-licensed.
The founder
AgentVisa was built by Chris Jarratt, co-founder of TextLiving and principal at Third Capital. AgentVisa grew out of a simple conviction: agent-driven commerce only works if sites can welcome agents without giving up accountability — and the answer has to be open, cheap, and 10-minutes-simple for the long tail of the web, not just the giants.
It is an early-stage product built in the open. The protocol clients are published on GitHub and npm, and feedback, issues, and skepticism are genuinely welcome.
